1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how ADA Tuition and Enrichment Hub Pte Ltd ("ADA", "we", "us" or "our") handles personal data in connection with our website, enquiries, enrolments, tuition, enrichment programmes and related services in Singapore. It applies to parents, guardians, students and others who interact with us.
We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Personal data means information about an individual who can be identified from that information, or from that information together with other information we have or are likely to have access to.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with ADA. It may include:
- Contact information: names, email addresses, telephone numbers and parent or guardian contact details that you supply.
- Enrolment and learning information: student details, school, level, chosen classes, attendance and learning needs or progress information, where supplied or recorded in delivering our programmes.
- Enquiries and registrations: information you submit through our forms, email, messaging channels or conversations with us.
- Payment transaction details: booking references, payment status, transaction identifiers and related information needed to administer payments. Card details are handled by Stripe through its payment service.
- Publication materials: photographs, videos or testimonials you provide for publication, or that we collect with appropriate permission.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, request and access logs, and information associated with essential security, payment or session cookies.
Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry or the service you need, and let us know if information you have supplied changes.
3. How we use information
We collect, use and disclose personal data for purposes that are reasonable and relevant to our relationship with you, including:
- Responding to enquiries and helping you choose suitable classes or programmes.
- Managing enrolments, teaching, student support, attendance, schedules and programme administration.
- Processing bookings and payments, sending booking or payment confirmations, and resolving transaction queries.
- Communicating necessary service updates with parents, guardians and students.
- Operating and protecting our website and services, preventing misuse, maintaining records and meeting legal requirements.
Optional marketing and promotional media publication are handled separately, as explained below.
4. Consent, children and optional publicity
Where consent is required, we seek it for the purposes notified to you. We may also handle personal data where permitted or required by the PDPA or other applicable law. Simply visiting our website does not constitute blanket consent to optional marketing or media publication.
If you submit information on behalf of a child or another person, please ensure you are authorised to do so. Parents or guardians submitting information for minors should understand the purposes described in this policy and provide the necessary consent on the child's behalf where appropriate.
We seek separate, appropriate permission for optional marketing communications and for publishing identifiable promotional photographs, videos or testimonials, including materials featuring students. These permissions are not a condition of simply browsing our website.
You can contact us to withdraw optional marketing consent or request review or removal of published media. We will consider the request subject to applicable law and lawful limits, including whether material has already been distributed or is held by third parties beyond our control.
7. Overseas processing
Our service providers may store or process personal data outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take steps required by the PDPA to ensure that it receives a standard of protection comparable to that under the PDPA, including through appropriate contractual or other legally recognised safeguards.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal and similar risks. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal data only while needed for the purposes for which it was collected or for ongoing business or legal needs. When those needs no longer apply, we take steps to delete or anonymise the data, or otherwise cease retaining it in identifiable form.
9. Your choices, requests and complaints
You may ask to access personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccuracies, or withdraw consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal data. These requests are subject to applicable legal exceptions and requirements. We may need to verify your identity and, for a request concerning a child, your authority to act on their behalf.
Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to provide a class, process a booking or deliver another service. We will explain the likely consequences before acting on a withdrawal request. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully carried out, and some information may still need to be retained or handled as permitted or required by law.
Contact ADA about privacy
For access, correction, consent withdrawal, media review or removal, or a privacy concern or complaint, email hello@adatuition.com with the subject Privacy request.
Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. Avoid sending sensitive documents until we have confirmed what is needed and how to provide them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated date. Where a change requires further notice or consent, we will take the steps required by applicable law.
